As owner and managing partner of Herrmann Law Group, Lara Herrmann directs the pre-litigation division and oversees the processing and advocacy of all cases. She is known as an aggressive trial attorney who achieves top results for her clients. Lara focuses on maximizing the value of each case, understanding that insurance companies too often undervalue and ignore viable claims. The core of Lara’s representation philosophy is: trust, client service and results that are both fast and equitable.
Lara comes from a decorated family tradition of law, as a third generation trial lawyer and owner of Herrmann Law Group. Her grandfather, former Washington State Insurance Commissioner and Senator Karl Herrmann, founded the law firm in 1950. Her father, Charles Herrmann, further cemented the firm’s premier reputation in personal injury throughout Washington State and the world at large, representing clients in major aircraft disasters in the United States, Canada, Korea, China and Central America. Lara’s late husband, John Scholbe, brother, two sisters and uncles are also lawyers.
Under Lara’s leadership and strong advocacy, Herrmann Law Group has successfully represented thousands of clients and recovered tens of millions of dollars. Through Lara’s commitment to her clients and passion for results, she is recognized as a leader and innovator in the area of personal injury. This includes resolving multimillion dollar injury cases involving motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, international aviation disasters and more.
As the founder and past chair of the annual “Woman of the Year” award, former leader in Washington Women Lawyers and three-time “Rising Star” by Washington Law & Politics, Lara is a distinguished and active figure in the legal community. In addition, she is a past instructor on trial skills at the prestigious Trial Advocacy Program for LSU Law School.
Lara’s dedication to practicing law with the highest level of excellence is driven by her unwavering gratitude for her family, employees and her life’s work – protecting the rights of injured people or the “little guys” against the interests of large insurance companies.
Lara lives in North Tacoma with her two children, Amelia and John. When she’s not practicing law or spending time with family, Lara loves to be active and creative. She is on the USTA Tennis Team, is a competitive ballroom dancer, and enjoys skiing, cooking, painting and traveling.
